Biography
Maja Mataric, IEEE Fellow, is the Chan Soon-Shiong Distinguished Professor of Computer Science, Neuroscience, and Pediatrics at the University of Southern California, and is a pioneer in human-robot interaction for socially assistive robotics. She was the recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring in 2009,
